The artist who produced the original lithograph, and the date it was produces, is hard to determine. The Good Shepard theme was a favorite of artists William Holman Hunt, Warner Sallman, and Del Parson. It is not known if either of these three artists is the author. Not knowing the name of the artist does not detract from the exquisite quality of the lithograph and its depiction of Jesus the Good Shepard.
